We love being among the first to see new collections so the team was excited to be at the launch of Akira Isogawa's newest collection called "Hirameki" which means Inspiration in English.
The Shibori round rug pictured below is tie dyed textile with a floral and wave technique. Originating from Kyoto Japan it was created using the Shibori technique using New Zealand wool and bamboo. All designs can be custom sized and coloured to suit any space.
And here we are in front of the Ayame (Iris) which are commonly found in Japanese gardens.
We have finally installed our latest window! Taking inspiration from one of our favourite designers Martyn Lawrence Bullard.
Designer to the stars Martyn Lawrence - Bullard has arrived in Sydney for Decoration + Design 2012. Martyn has decorated homes for Sir Elton John and David Furnish, Cher, Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne, Ellen Pompeo, Cheryl Tiegs and fashion icon Tamara Mellon of Jimmy Choo, to name a few. We had the pleasure of meeting Martyn at Decoration + Design and getting our hands on signed copies of his new book Live, Love & Decorate. We were very excited to meet him seeing we loved watching his show Million Dollar Decorator. We hear that Martyn sold 160 copies of his book on the first day...Sold out!!
